Pink Spiral Mask by ToTheMask Pink Spiral Mask by ToTheMask
Who knew it could be so hard to avoid making a pink, glittery mask? Oh, well. I regret nothing!

Made from 8oz. leather, is both hand shaped and painted.
Thanks for looking!!!

Do I detect a note if dislike for the color pink? If so I feel for you. I get request for PINK sparkly thingies too...

This is so very lovely... for something so PINK!

Hahaha, only a mild dislike, I assure you! I'm surprised that I liked this one when it was finished. I just remember staring at my pink paint and thinking "Fine, it's your turn I guess :/" lol

I feel the same way about it. I have several dozen pink wings in varying shades waiting to be assembled... :| I am dreading it and would not mind to terribly much if they somehow were ruined. The conservationist in me screams to "just make so they are not a waste", but the goth in me says "BURN THEM!! :eager:"

So true! I use so much glitter (I'm still trying to convince myself this is a phase, and am being only marginally successful at it) that I end up seeing pretty blatantly what colors I hardly use at all. At the end of the mask-making day I've got tons of red, pink, and green left over! The red and pink I suppose I can understand (I prefer cooler colors in general) but I should have several green masks made by now! Maybe I'm just saving up all of the green-ness for an awesome, glittery monstrosity somewhere in my future? (Oscar the Grouch mask, anyone?)

Green is my favorite color! The funkier shades... olive and lime and sometimes split pea green! It is not a phase. You are stuck for life! Have you seen the art institute glitter? There are some amazing glitters on that site. I  them and must have them all. Here is a link so you too can want them all :devilish: [link] ... hehehe!

In some countries it might just be considered an act of war to show me that link.
My bank account may never be the same!

WOW those are pretty sparkles they've got there (I LOVE the flakes, but GAH expensive!!! *starts saving pennies*)

And I def. hear you on the greens. Blue has been something I'm liking to look at more and more (some of the really intense shades can be just plain lovely!) but green just has the fun eye-catching shades!

Well, I am glad I took the risk of causing a war if only to have a sympathetic ear from one artist to another, glitter addictions have been fatal to bank accounts!

My favorite thing about this glitter is the transparency of the micro~fine ones. Any color you put under them shows through. Imagine the possibilities on your masks! The idea of it makes me want to create a mask!

The possibilities...the possibilities!!! *fans self*

Oh, please do create a mask! It'd be beautiful, I'm sure, if your faeries are anything to go by! And even imagining your wings on a mask is delightful!
Is it possible to fav something before it exists? lol!

It isn't as hard as it seems sometimes! I mean I did ruin my fair share when I was just starting, and it took me a loonnnngggg time to get the shape just right, but once I did it got easier! :3 If you ever have any spare leather around give it a try! <3

Oh, but I don't even know where to start, especially with shaping. >_<
